Operational
This is an area where our specialist equipment can really put on a show! It is a market we know very well and where we can offer our customers outputs; performance and value for money that is unrivalled in the UK and Ireland.

For large highway schemes we have modified the hoppers on our larger machines so they accept loads from 40 tonne ADTs. The screed width on these machines is up to 12m.

In 2007 on a major scheme in Ireland we had a number of normal length shifts when we laid over 6000 tonnes of CBM!

We have laid layers up to 300mm thick compacted and achieved good surface levels.

On industrial hardstandings we have years of experience, for container work, truck parking, bulk material storage, composting slabs and the like.

We have a patented jointing machine for CBM work, based on a tandem roller.

This can be used in highways to form transverse ‘induced cracks’ or in an industrial situations to form a ‘grid’. The method is quick, low cost, effective, an example of how we can provide solutions for our customers.

Technical
Linking up with our colleagues at ‘Sitebatch Technologies’, we have engineering competence across the whole of the operation, from equipment development, through the Specification and pavement design, right through to the production process of the CBM and the raw materials.

All this is available to our customers, parcelled up under our ‘Roller Compacted Concrete Company’ brand.
